With a distinguished career in action sports cinematography spanning over 20 years, Jay has honed his craft in capturing high-octane, once-in-a-lifetime moments. How far in advance should we book Sierra4K?↓
Saturdays during the Lake Tahoe summer peak (June to September) typically book out 12 to 18 months in advance. We suggest inquiring as soon as your date and venue are secured to lock in our team.
Do you offer both photography and videography?↓
Yes! While we started with cinematography, we partner with acclaimed lead photographer Tom Zikas to provide unified photo and video packages. Bundling both ensures a coordinated team on site and a cohesive visual style.
Do your packages include drone footage?↓
Yes. All three primary tiers include drone coverage. Jay is an FAA Part 107 licensed remote drone pilot, ensuring flights are conducted safely, legally, and in compliance with local Tahoe regulations.
Do we receive raw footage?↓
Yes. We believe you should own your memories. Raw documentary footage (containing all uncut video files and audio takes) is delivered digitally as a standard inclusion in our Moments, Love, and Elegance packages.
How long are the highlight films?↓
Depending on your package, our highlight films range from 6 minutes (Moments), 8 minutes (Love), to 12-15 minutes (Elegance). These are cut like short documentaries, matching vows and speeches with cinematic visuals.
Do you travel outside Lake Tahoe?↓
Absolutely. While we are based in Zephyr Cove, NV, we frequently travel for destination weddings at lodges, mountain resorts, private estates, and coastal venues across California, Nevada, and beyond.
Can we choose the music?↓
We license all music legally to ensure your video can be shared online without copyright issues. We encourage you to share your musical tastes and preferences, and we will find licensing paths for songs that fit the emotional arc of your film.
How many revisions are included?↓
Our packages include one round of creative review. After receiving the initial draft, you can request adjustments to pacing, specific shots, or audio elements before we deliver the final master copy.
Do you capture vows and speeches with professional audio?↓
Yes. We use professional wireless lapel microphones and direct soundboard feeds to capture clear vows, speeches, and toast audio. Clear sound is critical to our story-first documentary editing style.
How do we reserve our date?↓
We require a signed digital agreement and a 30% retainer to secure your wedding date on our calendar. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your wedding.
